My story

Hello, I’m Andrea. My lifelong passion for movement has shaped my career, allowing me to embrace Pilates as a way of life.

At 18, Pilates introduced me to the vital concepts of muscle balance, joint stability, and the art of controlled, precise movements. Pilates quickly became a passion, and I dedicated years to an apprenticeship, immersing myself in the nuances of each posture and exercise. Observing other instructors and clients, leading group classes, and teaching private sessions became my daily routine.

Following my two-year apprenticeship with the esteemed Segrario Castilla in Toronto, Canada, I earned my Pilates Method Alliance (PMA, a professional standards association) certification in 2015.

That same year, I graduated from Humber College, where my studies in Fitness and Health deepened my understanding of human physiology, anatomy, nutrition, and fitness programming.

Meet Andrea

The knowledge I gained from Humber College and Pilates formed a solid foundation, yet my fascination with the human body continuously drives me to seek further education. I had the privilege of enhancing my classical Pilates expertise under Bob Liekens, known as the teacher of teachers, through weekly classes, and I was honored to be invited to participate in his final Leading Advancement in Education Program (LEAP) intensive course in New York City, run through his organization The Pilates Standard. This program offered a unique and rich opportunity to study classical exercises with a Master teacher, revealing the Pilates system's brilliance and its many benefits for the body. The lessons I learned from Bob and the other excellent instructors I met through him continue to inform my teaching.

I strive to better understand human anatomy, movement patterns, and compensations. As a result, I am actively studying the Stecco method of facial manipulation, enriching my practice through hands-on experience, observation, and masterclasses.  Fascial manipulation Stecco is a revolutionary method of investigating and addressing muscle and postural imbalances caused by fascial densifications and restoring proper biomechanics in the body. The knowledge gained from my studies in fascial manipulation gives me a unique perspective when working with clients and assessing the best path forward to meet their needs and reach their goals.

I am committed to providing my clients with tailored services that cater to their unique desires and requirements. It is important to me that my clients feel supported in their aspirations, cherished throughout their journey, and valued as individuals.
